Don Riggle Announces Retirement

Don Riggle TPA Friends and Supporters,

After 44 plus years of working to save our sport in Colorado, my time has arrived to retire and let others continue the mission.

The Trails Preservation Alliance is in good shape. The new chairman, new Board of Directors members and TPA staff continue to work with passion and vision to save our sport.

Your support will be critical to ensure that the TPA mission continues protecting all forms of OHV recreation in Colorado.

I am not leaving the fight, just allowing others to take over. I will continue to be an advisor to the TPA BOD on issues as needed.

You can contact me any time at my TPA email address Don@ColoradoTPA.org.

I look forward to seeing all of you on the trail!

Ride more, ride safe.

2024 Colorado Gold Rush Raises $6K for the TPA!

Gold Rush Ride - 3 riders on bikes with mountains in background

A heartfelt thank you from all of us at the Trails Preservation Alliance to Merve Davies and the incredible Gold Rush riders and supporters. For the 28th year, riders gathered for an unforgettable week of adventure in Colorado, enjoying scenic trails, delicious meals, and the camaraderie of reconnecting with old friends while welcoming new faces.

This year’s event brought together 36 riders, including 8 first-timers from Tennessee, Colorado, and California! Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and support, we raised $6,000 for the TPA—funds that will help us continue our mission to preserve and protect Colorado’s trails.

A special shout-out to the Widener family for hosting a fantastic lunch at the cabin and to Dennis Larratt for the unforgettable mine tour.
